Formally recognized by the Thai Government with its “Thai Select” seal of approval, Krungtep opened its doors in 1992.  It was the first Thai Restaurant in Osaka.  Located in the heart of Namba on the Dotonbori, Krungtep serves an extensive variety of Thai cuisine, prepared exclusively by Thai chefs.  Most of the vegetables, fruits, herbs, spices and meats are imported from Thailand.  For lunch, you can't beat the 1200 yen “all you can eat buffet”.  And dinner won't break the bank either, averaging slightly over 3000 yen.  (Krungtep has several related businesses nearby, including Gaow Thai takeout restaurant, a Thai market store, a Thai culture school and a Fruit/Vegetable carving school---Please see website for further information.)
